The term unidentified flying object, better known as ovni1 (acronym UFO, tracing the English acronym UFO or Unidentified Flying Object), 1 refers to the observation of a steering wheel, real or apparent object, which can not be identified by observer and whose origin remains unknown after investigation.
The acronym was created to replace the "flying saucer" and has come to transcend simple aerial observations. Although Erik von Daniken as authors (1999) and Jacques Fabrice Vallée (1976) have suggested that the ancient chariots of the gods or occurrences and kidnappings in forests and swamps could be the equivalent of the current UFO stories, the phenomenon began in myth-1947, closely linked to the media.
